Debut Training Academy is looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and inspiring Nail Technology Tutor to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality practical and theory sessions for learners studying the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology Studies. You will support learners throughout their journey, helping them develop industry-standard practical skills while building their confidence and preparing them for a successful career within the nail industry.
This role would suit someone with extensive industry experience who enjoys sharing their knowledge and supporting others to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging practical and theory lessons to Level 3 Nail Technology learners.
- Plan and deliver sessions that meet the VTCT qualification requirements.
- Assess learner practical work and provide constructive feedback.
- Support learners with portfolio building and achievement of qualification criteria.
- Create an inclusive, positive and motivating learning environment.
- Monitor learner progress and identify any additional support required.
- Ensure all teaching is delivered in line with awarding organisation standards.
- Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
- Promote excellent health and safety practices within the salon and classroom.
- Support learners to develop professional behaviours and prepare them for employment within the nail industry.
You Must Be Confident Delivering
The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology Studies, including:
- Manicure
- Pedicure
- Nail enhancements using Liquid & Powder (Acrylic) systems
- Nail enhancements using UV Gel systems
- Electrical Filing (E-file)
- Creative Nail Art Design
- Client Care and Consultation
- Health, Safety and Infection Prevention
- Health & Wellbeing
- Promoting Products and Services
- Salon Reception and Professional Communication
- Professional standards expected within the nail and beauty industry
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified in Level 3 Nail Technology (or equivalent).
- Strong practical experience within the nail industry.
- Confident in teaching acrylic, gel and e-file techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about developing the next generation of nail technicians.
- Organised with good administration and record-keeping skills.
- Patient, approachable and able to adapt teaching styles to suit individual learners.
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent).
- Assessor qualification (CAVA/A1) or willingness to work towards one.
- Previous experience teaching or assessing vocational qualifications.
- Experience working with awarding organisations such as VTCT Skills.
