Temporary Agency Cover Cook – Care Home Setting
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Temporary Cover Cook to support a care home kitchen team on the following dates:
June: 18th, 20th, 29th
July: 3rd, 4th, 8th, 12th, 15th, 17th
Shift time will commence at 7.30am and finish at 4.30pm
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional cook with experience in care homes, nursing homes, residential care, healthcare catering, or commercial kitchens.
Duties:
- Preparing and cooking nutritious, home-style meals for residents
- Catering for dietary requirements, allergies, and special diets
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Following food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
- Supporting a positive dining experience for residents
Requirements:
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate
- Previous professional cooking experience (care home, nursing home, school, hospital, pub, restaurant, etc.)
- Knowledge of special diets, allergens, and nutritional requirements
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage meal service effectively
- Reliable, professional, and committed approach to work
