Part-Time Physiotherapist – Sports Massage, Rehabilitation & Instagram Content
Location: Leeds – Burley / Kirkstall, LS4 2PU

Pay: £20.00–£50.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Up to 20 hours per week initially
Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and HCPC-registered Physiotherapist to join our growing sports massage, physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic in Leeds.
This position would suit a confident, hands-on physiotherapist who enjoys combining sports massage, manual therapy and active rehabilitation, and who is interested in gradually developing their own client base within an expanding clinic.
The position will initially be part-time, so it can work alongside your existing full-time or part-time employment. As your client base grows, there will be opportunities to increase your hours.
Our clinic is expanding significantly, and our aim is to have three full-time physiotherapists working within the business by the end of 2027. For the right person, this position therefore has the potential to develop into a full-time physiotherapy role in the future, subject to continued business growth and performance.

Essential Requirements
You must have:
- A Degree in Physiotherapy (UK or recognised equivalent)
- Current HCPC registration
- Sports massage experience – this is an important requirement of the position
- Good knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation
- Confidence managing clients independently
- A hands-on approach to physiotherapy and rehabilitation
- Confidence communicating with clients and explaining treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Willingness to build and maintain your own client list through the clinic
- Confidence appearing in short professional Instagram reels
- The legal right to work on a self-employed basis in the UK
Right to Work
This is a self-employed position and we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
Applicants must already have the appropriate and unrestricted right to undertake self-employed work in the UK.
This position is not suitable for applicants on a UK Student visa, as Student visa conditions generally do not permit self-employment.

Location & Availability – Important Requirement
The clinic is located on Burley Road, Leeds, LS4 2PU.
Because we regularly receive same-day and last-minute bookings, we are particularly looking for somebody who lives very close to the clinic or within a short travelling distance and can occasionally attend the clinic at relatively short notice.
Please consider your travelling time to LS4 2PU carefully before applying.
This role may initially fit around another full-time or part-time position, but you should have enough flexibility to accept additional clinic appointments as your client base develops.
Sports Massage & Manual Therapy
Approximately 50% of the role may involve Sports Massage and Manual Therapy, including:
- Sports massage
- Deep tissue techniques
- Soft tissue therapy
- Joint mobilisation
- Assisted stretching
- Other appropriate hands-on techniques
Applicants therefore need to be comfortable providing hands-on treatment as part of their physiotherapy practice.
Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy
Approximately 50% of the role will involve physiotherapy and rehabilitation, including:
- Musculoskeletal assessment
- Exercise prescription
- Corrective exercise programmes
- Rehabilitation planning
- Progressive return-to-activity programmes
- Managing chronic and recurring musculoskeletal conditions
- Reviewing and progressing rehabilitation programmes
- Managing ongoing client care
- Educating clients about injury management and prevention
Advanced Treatments & Equipment
Depending on the client and your qualifications, treatments may also incorporate:
- TECAR therapy
- EMS
- High and low-frequency TENS
- IASTM
- Cupping
- Dry needling
- Joint mobilisation
- Other manual therapy techniques
Training and guidance on our equipment and treatment protocols will be provided where required.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
The following are beneficial but not essential:
- Level 3 or Level 4 Sports Massage qualification
- Dry Needling
- IASTM
- Cupping Therapy
- Spinal Manipulation
- Joint Mobilisation
- Experience with TECAR / Radiofrequency Therapy
- Experience with EMS or TENS
- Previous experience in a private MSK or sports injury clinic
Instagram Reels & Social Media
An important part of this position is being willing to occasionally participate in educational Instagram reels for the clinic's professional social media accounts.
Examples might include:
- Demonstrating a simple stretch
- Explaining an exercise for back, shoulder or knee pain
- Discussing a common physiotherapy condition
- Demonstrating a rehabilitation exercise
- Providing a simple injury-prevention tip
- Explaining a treatment or physiotherapy technique
You do not need to be an influencer or have professional video-editing skills.
Full guidance, ideas and support will be provided by the clinic.

One-Minute Video Required With Your Application
As part of your application, we would like you to submit a one-minute sample Instagram-style video demonstrating something related to physiotherapy, rehabilitation, pain relief, mobility or stretching.
For example, you could create a one-minute video explaining:
“A simple stretch for desk workers with a stiff neck.”
or:
“One exercise that may help someone with lower back stiffness.”
or any physiotherapy-related topic of your choice.
The video should be presented as a simple edited Instagram-style reel, but please do not worry about sophisticated editing.
We are NOT assessing your video-editing ability.
We are mainly looking at your:

- Passion
- Personality
- Ability to explain something clearly on camera
A simple video recorded on your phone with basic editing is perfectly acceptable.
