Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests through excellent service and professionalism
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role is desirable but not essential for trainees; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Previous restaurant experience or serving background is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop professional skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills
