Building Surveyor
Location: Sidcup, Kent or London (Hybrid Working)
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy seeking a Building Surveyor to join its expanding Building Surveying team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor with early career experience to gain exposure across a diverse range of professional and project-led surveying instructions while developing their technical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working across a range of public and private sector projects, you'll support the delivery of high-quality Building Surveying services while receiving guidance and development opportunities to progress towards chartership.
The Role
As a Building Surveyor, you'll be involved in a varied range of surveying services, including:
- Undertaking Condition Surveys, Dilapidation Surveys and DDA/Access Surveys.
- Acting as Contract Administrator on refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects.
- Preparing specifications, drawings, schedules of work and professional reports.
- Providing technical advice and supporting building pathology investigations.
- Assisting with Party Wall matters, dilapidations and other specialist surveying instructions.
- Developing strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Supporting project delivery, programmes and financial monitoring.
- Assisting with the management of client workloads and framework agreements.
- Identifying opportunities for new work and supporting business development activities.
- Working collaboratively with senior colleagues and assisting junior team members where required.
About You
We're looking for an ambitious Building Surveyor who is keen to develop their career within a consultancy environment.
- A BSc in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a similar discipline.
- Around 1–2 years' post-graduate experience within a Building Surveying consultancy environment.
- A good understanding of Contract Administration and project delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to produce clear technical reports and present information effectively.
- A proactive, flexible and collaborative approach.
- The ambition to progress towards Chartered Building Surveyor status (MRICS).
You should be a positive team player with the confidence to engage with clients, consultants and contractors while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

Pay: £38,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
