Zing Construction, an ambitious and rapidly growing construction company, are now seeking a confident and forward-thinking Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Liverpool. Due to recent contracts being awarded and an over flowing order book we need the right person. You will be working closely with the Director and team to take this business to the next level and beyond. Any experience in project management would be a huge bonus.
We are looking for a dedicated/experienced Quantity Surveyor who will provide a strong and professional service at all times.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
- Attend daily appointments with clients, to accurately draw up quotations / estimates.
- Produce BOQ'S
- Draught contracts
- Source materials
- Procurement of materials / sub contractors
The Role This role of Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing the commercial aspects of each development.
- Produce draft budgets and site start budgets for each site.
- Produce quarterly valuations and complete material ‘cost to complete’ exercises for each site the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for.
- Complete on-site measurements and assess payments to contractors.
- Attend and contribute to various meetings, project review meetings with senior management, construction team as well as external contractors.
- Maintain trade specifications.
- Price variations / extras as necessary.
- Assist with material procurement.
Qualifications and Skills Experience
- Experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor or Surveyor with a residential house builder.
- Able to negotiate contractual elements of works jct / minor works / contracts
Candidates requirements/skills
- Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills
- Highly motivated to deliver quality developments
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines

- Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
- Ability to travel to development sites as and when required.
- Project management experience would be ideal.
