We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Cook to join our team. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in meal planning and portion control to minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and at appropriate temperatures
- Monitor ingredients stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Serve meals efficiently to guests, ensuring excellent customer service
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all stages of food preparation and service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a culinary role within a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during busy weekend shifts
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness
- Previous experience in serving or assisting customers is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work weekends and unsociable hours as required
- Enthusiasm for creating quality meals and providing excellent service
