Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of meals, snacks, and beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Support food safety practices by maintaining cleanliness, proper storage, and hygiene in the kitchen area
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering food with a friendly attitude
- Help with setting up the cafe for service, including arranging tables, replenishing supplies, and maintaining a tidy environment
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and ensuring timely delivery
- Follow health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
