Overview
We are seeking a reliable Bricklayer to join our family run building and home improvement team. This role involves working on a variety of building projects, from residential to commercial developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing diverse tasks , ensuring high standards of quality and safety. A strong background in multiple aspects of construction is essential, along with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
- General building and finishing works
- Liaising with other trades and site management as required
- Assist with Loading and unloading of materials
- Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction activities
- Follow safety protocols and ensure building safety
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues.
- Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and organisation of materials
Requirements
- Proven experience in Bricklaying
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Take pride in workmanship
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Own tools is advantageous
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory
- A valid UK driving licence and own van
