Overview
We are seeking a trainee groundworker to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of drainage systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, in good health and able to handle manual labour under instruction from our team leader.

Responsibilities
- Excavating trenches for drainage pipework using hand tools.
- Laying, connecting, and securing drainage pipework according to project specifications
- Assisting with the installation of manholes, treatment systems, and other drainage components
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site to prevent hazards
- Assisting with site clearance and backfilling once installations are complete
Requirements
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence is preferred
- Willingness to adhere to strict health and safety procedures at all times
