Freelance Event Rep / Events Sales (Villains Rum)
Pay: £13.50 per hour + 3% commission on gross sales
Type: Freelance / self-employed (ad hoc shifts)
Location: UK-wide travel
Base for stock pick-up / drop-off: Shipton by Benningbrough
Shifts: Full days, mostly weekends, booked as-and-when (when we need you and you’re available)
The role
You’ll represent Villains Rum at events around the country.
You’ll sell rum to the public.
You’ll help us show up with energy, confidence, and a clean, professional set-up.
You’ll enjoy working with a craft, small-batch alcohol brand where every flavour is inspired by historical villains.
Where you’ll work
You’ll cover events such as:
- Comic Cons
- Sci-fi and fandom shows
- Food markets and festivals
- Seasonal events and pop-ups
- Other UK events as they come up
Key duties
You will:
- Pick up stock and kit from Shipton by Benningbrough
- Transport cases of rum and event equipment safely
- Set up and pack down the stand (tables, signage, stock, display, etc.)
- Sell and promote Villains Rum to customers all day
- Run tastings (where permitted) and talk through flavours confidently
- Handle card payments and basic cash handling
- Keep the stand tidy, stocked, and on-brand
- Report sales and stock counts at the end of the day
- Return unsold stock/kit (drop-off may be required after events)
Vehicle requirements (must-have)
You must:
- Have your own vehicle
- Have a decent-sized car suitable for transporting cases and event kit
- Be happy to load, unload, and carry/trolly stock
- Be comfortable driving to events around the UK
Mileage is claimable (details shared when booking each event).

- Can lift and carry heavy items safely
- Can work weekends (this is essential)

Availability
This is ad hoc freelance work.
- We will offer dates as events come in
- You accept the ones you can do
- Expect mostly weekend full-day shifts
- Some events may require early starts and long travel days, hotels may be offered on longer distance double day events
