About HOME Restaurant & Bar
HOME Café, Bar & Restaurant is located inside the renowned HOME Theatre and Cinema on First Street, in the heart of Manchester.
We offer a vibrant and welcoming food and drink experience across three floors — from our ground floor café and bar, to our first-floor restaurant serving fresh, seasonal and bistro-style dishes, and private dining for events and functions.
The Role
We’re looking for passionate Chefs of all levels — from Commis and Line Chefs through to Chef de Partie — to join our busy and growing kitchen team.
Working alongside a talented brigade of chefs, you’ll prepare and serve fresh, high-quality dishes for a range of guests — from quick pre-theatre meals to special occasions and large-scale private events.
As part of our professional kitchen team, you’ll be encouraged to develop your skills, gain new responsibilities, and progress towards Senior or Junior Sous Chef level with clear, structured training and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support senior chefs during service, helping to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Assist with stock rotation, prep, and section organisation.
- Take pride in accuracy, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen (preferred).
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Passion for fresh food, quality, and consistency.
- Good command of English and right to work in the UK.
- Ability to commute to Manchester city centre (M15 4FN) or plan to relocate before starting.
