Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling components, carrying out testing and maintaining safety and quality standards within a fast paced production environment.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in production processes and hands-on work within a growing and dynamic organisation committed to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate various manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring production targets are met.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and assembly procedures accurately.
- Assemble components and products according to predefined procedures using hand tools and custom built equipment.
- Conduct in-process testing of assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications throughout the production process.
- Perform final testing of fully built products using approved test procedures and equipment.
- Record and maintain accurate batch information for all parts and materials used during assembly, rework and servicing activities.
- Ensure full traceability of components and processes by completing required documentation and logs.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support inventory control activities including stock movement, inventory checks, loading/unloading materials and reporting low stock levels or discrepancies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge is desirable, including familiarity with hand tools and assembly processes.
- Experience in assembly or a production/manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, efficiency and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
