The Role
As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and friendly front-of-house service to our guests throughout their stay.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming guests and providing a professional and friendly check-in and check-out service.
- Handling reservations, amendments and general guest enquiries.
- Answering telephone calls, emails and face-to-face enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Providing guests with information about the hotel, local area, facilities and services.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate guest and booking records.
- Handling guest requests and resolving issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Liaising with housekeeping, maintenance, restaurant and management teams to ensure guests' needs are met.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area.
- Following hotel procedures relating to security, cash handling, guest information and health and safety.
- Supporting the wider hotel team when required.
- Delivering consistently high standards of customer service.

- Is confident dealing with guests and handling enquiries.
- Can remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
- Has good attention to detail.
- Is comfortable using computers and learning hotel booking systems.
- Can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is flexible and able to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous hotel or hospitality reception experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Hours
The role will involve working a flexible shift pattern, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays, depending on the hotel's operational requirements.
