This particular Team Supervisor role will provide dedicated support to a busy Children’s Assessment and Safeguarding Service, where responsive, accurate and confidential business support is essential to the effective delivery of frontline services.
The role:
We are currently seeking a permanent full time Business Support Team Supervisor to join our central business support team that supports our high-profile work in Children’s Services.

What will your day look like?
Anything from coordinating workloads, allocating resources and ensuring your team is well-equipped to deliver a professional, timely and customer-focused service. As a Team Supervisor, you’ll work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across Children’s Assessment and Safeguarding Services, building strong relationships and ensuring clear responsibilities and expectations are understood between Business Support and our customers. You’ll provide coaching, guidance and performance support to your team, helping colleagues achieve their full potential within their chosen career pathways while fostering a positive and resilient team culture. Your day may include monitoring performance, resolving operational challenges, implementing service improvements, supporting recruitment and training activities, and identifying new opportunities to promote and strengthen the Business Support service. Throughout it all, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality, and contributing to the continuous improvement of a service that makes a real difference to children, young people and families.

You will be working in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive and highly collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues who are responding to children, young people and families at critical points of need. The role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, build strong working relationships, support team resilience, and help ensure that business support colleagues feel informed, valued and confident in delivering high-quality support.
