We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Vehicle Body Builder / Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team. If you have a passion for precision engineering, take pride in quality workmanship, and enjoy building bespoke commercial vehicle bodies, we’d like to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and assembly of commercial vehicle bodies to specification
- MIG/TIG welding of steel, aluminium, and other materials
- Cutting, shaping, and fitting panels and framework
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and build plans
- Operating fabrication machinery, tools, and equipment safely
- Conducting repairs and modifications on existing vehicle bodies
- Ensuring all work meets quality control and health & safety standards
- To carry out the fitting and installation of Hydraulic equipment, such as Hydraulic wet kits, Tipping Gears, Hook and Skip Loaders.
- To carry out the Welding and Fabrication of Commercial vehicles, such as Flatbeds, Tipper Bodies and Bespoke customer requirements.
- The use of Hand tools and welding and fabrication are essential.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, or commercial body building
- Competence in MIG/TIG welding (qualifications advantageous)
- Ability to work from technical drawings with attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic
- Understanding of workshop safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
