Job Overview
As Commis Chef, you will assist the Cook in the food preparation, cooking and preparing elements of the kitchen ensuring high quality dishes are produced.
Duties
- Maintaining excellent standards
- Assisting in the preparation and cooking of food
- Cleaning down the kitchen at the end of service
- Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene
- Deal with deliveries and stock rotation
- To aid stocktaking in conjunction with the Head Chef
- To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager
- Assisting the manager replenishing stock ensuring comply with stock rotation requirements
- Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees, patrons and visitors, by promoting safe working practices.
- Ensuring that all faults and defects, equipment, tools, buildings, etc., within the remit of the bar and restaurant are reported to your line manager are reported
- Comply with company policies, rules and procedures at all times
- To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager as and when required
- Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees, patrons and visitors, by promoting safe working practices
- Comply with company policies, rules and procedures at all times
- Any other duties as required by your line manager commensurate with your role
Qualifications and Skills required
- Have a passion for food, hospitality and be a team player
- Versatile and good and working under pressure
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Have or willing to work towards Food Safety & Food Hygiene Certificate
- Have or willing to work towards Food Allergen Certificate
- A UK Driving license and access to a vehicle
