Floor Layer – Social Housing Contract
Location: Islington, London
Pay: £22.14 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently looking for an experienced Floor Layer to join our team, working on a long-term social housing contract in Islington.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled flooring professional looking for secure, consistent work with excellent rates of pay and a company vehicle provided.
The Role
As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for carrying out flooring works within occupied and void social housing properties. You will be expected to complete work to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing a range of flooring materials, including vinyl, LVT and other floor coverings
- Preparing floors and ensuring surfaces are suitable for installation
- Carrying out repairs and replacements as required
- Working within social housing properties, including occupied homes
- Completing jobs efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Liaising professionally with tenants and other members of the team
- Completing relevant paperwork and job records
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Floor Layer
- Experience working in social housing, maintenance or a similar environment is desirable
- Good knowledge of flooring installation and preparation
- High standard of workmanship
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
