Scream Theatre Schools is growing, and we are looking for enthusiastic, talented and reliable performing arts teachers to join our established team in Blackpool.
We are recruiting for several part-time teaching positions across different age groups and abilities.
Positions Available
We would love to hear from teachers specialising in one or more of the following areas:
- Singing / Vocal Coaching
- Dance
- Drama & Acting
- Musical Theatre
- Musical Director / MD
- Acting for TV & Film
- Performing Arts Assistants
- Cover and Workshop Teachers
- lamda
There are opportunities to work with various age groups, from younger children through to teenagers and advanced students.
Who We're Looking For
Applicants should ideally:
- Hold a degree or graduate-level qualification in Performing Arts, Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance, Music or a related discipline, or have equivalent professional industry experience.
- We are also happy to hear from current university or drama school students looking to gain professional teaching experience alongside their studies.
- Have strong skills in their chosen discipline.
- Be enthusiastic about working with children and young performers.
- Be confident leading engaging, energetic and well-structured classes.
- Be reliable, professional and a positive member of a teaching team.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be passionate about developing young performers and building their confidence.
Previous teaching experience is an advantage, but we are also interested in hearing from talented graduates, performers and current students who have the right personality and skills to become excellent teachers.
Successful applicants working with children will be required to meet the appropriate safeguarding and DBS requirements.
Musical Director
For our Musical Director opportunities, we are particularly interested in applicants who can confidently work with young performers on vocals, harmonies and musical theatre repertoire.
Piano/keyboard skills and the ability to musically direct rehearsals, productions and performance projects would be highly desirable.
