We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic Young People’s Stop Smoking and Vaping Advisor to join our Public Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in tackling youth smoking and vaping by delivering evidence-based interventions that support young people to live healthier, smoke-free and vape-free lives.
Working across schools, colleges, community settings and healthcare services, you will engage with children and young people aged 11–25 years, providing one-to-one support, group education and outreach activities while working alongside a wide range of partners.
Deliver personalised stop smoking and vaping support using evidence-based behaviour change techniques.
- Develop tailored quit plans and provide ongoing support to young people.
- Deliver engaging workshops and educational sessions in schools, colleges and community settings.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, Family Hubs, Youth Services, CAMHS, Primary Care and voluntary organisations.
- Promote national campaigns including Stoptober and No Smoking Day.
- Support young people experiencing health inequalities and ensure services are inclusive and accessible.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary Public Health team committed to improving health outcomes.
Connnnect Healthcare Rotherham Community Interest Company (CIC) is a federation of 28 GP practices in Rotherham. The organisation is led by a Board of representatives from general practice in the Borough, with executive leadership from a Medical Director on a part-time basis.
The organisation currently delivers extended access primary care services in Rotherham and a Physio First service in partnership with the local acute and community trust, the largest of its kind currently operating. In addition, the organisation is supporting the development of primary care networks and manages delivery of training and development to large cohorts of the general practice workforce.
