About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our organisation's success by overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of various projects from inception to completion. This position demands strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Working as part of our international Project Management team, you’ll be working closely with many departments within the business to collaborate and strive to deliver some of our latest and greatest software to our international customer base.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and budgets.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and senior leadership teams.
- Provide clear and regular project updates, ensuring transparency and effective expectation management, addressing any issues.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and reviews.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively manage issues and dependencies to minimise project impact and delays.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and provide effective resolution plans.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities across departments.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and engagement among project stakeholders.
- Support teams in achieving project milestones and objectives.
Quality Assurance & Governance
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed quality standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools, techniques, and metrics.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, status reports, and financial tracking.
- Produce regular progress reports for senior management and customers.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Project Management role within a technology, software, telecoms, or related environment.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Good overall IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to work.
- A driven, confident, flexible and hardworking team player attitude
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Ability to be security cleared (Must have lived and worked in the UK for at least 5 years excluding study time).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience delivering software, SaaS, telecoms, or technology projects.
- Knowledge of hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with international customers and teams.
