Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical and Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives and technical operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing product quality standards, implementing rigorous analysis procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations. Duties
- Answering customer technical queries and questionnaires, including maintenance of customers' online systems.
- Requesting specifications from suppliers and ensuring that we hold a specification and sample for all items in stock. Attaching specifications in SAGE and maintenance of Company technical specification system.
- Management of key supplier approvals and accreditations.
- Management of the customer complaints and non-conformance procedures. Including liaising with customers and suppliers. Requesting samples of affected pouches, sending complaints forms and samples to suppliers where required. Ensuring customer complaints log is kept up to date.
- Management of internal complaints procedure. Completing forms, emailing them out and ensuring preventative and corrective actions are carried out. Ensuring log is kept up to date.
- Liaising with the HR, Compliance & BRCGS Manager to ensure that (for particular customers) all COAs and COCs are sent via email, and that hard and electronic copies are stored.
- Assisting the BRCGS team, including management review meetings and organising relevant training.
- Assisting in liaising with receptionist/building & maintenance co-ordinator to ensure all servicing etc is carried out in line with BRCGS requirements.
- Maintaining BRCGS Certification.
- Ensuring SEDEX system is up to date.
Experience
- Proven experience in a quality management role within a food industry / packaging environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Demonstrated analysis skills with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively, report findings, and collaborate with the suppliers & customers.
- Prior experience or certifications related to quality standards is highly desirable.
- Technical proficiency in using inspection tools, analysis software, and documentation systems.
Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
