Part Time Role - School Hours (4 hours per day Monday to Friday)
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Administration Assistant to join our busy and friendly GP Practice team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice by undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and providing efficient administrative support to our multidisciplinary team.

The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a professional approach to handling confidential information.
Working closely with clinicians, management, and support staff, the Administration Assistant will contribute to ensuring that patients receive an efficient and effective service while supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare within the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- · Maintain the practice generic email account and deal with queries efficiently and appropriately by either completion of work or forwarding to the relevant team.
- · To manage the Admin Team Accurx Inbox and respond to queries efficiently and effectively
- · To monitor the practice registration platform and to complete patient registrations in line with the standard operating procedure
- · To complete patient deductions accurately in line with practice SOPS
- · To manage and maintain the Docman system, adding workflow and non workflow whist completing other tasks and allocat6ion of work to other parties
- · To complete document management in the EMIS clinical System
- · To manage Post Natal reports and correctly book new mother and newborn in for post-natal review and immunisations
- · To complete consent forms and manage NHS App and Proxy Access
- · To manage the Admin Team task inbox on EMIS
- · To file lab reports for cervical smears correctly and accurately
Essential Criteria
- · Experience of working within an administrative background for at least 1 year
- · Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry
- · Competent IT skills including Microsoft office applications
- · Understanding of medical terminology and clinical language.
- · Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- · Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
- · Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- · A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable Criteria
- · Experience of working within Primary Care
- · Experience of using Docman and EMIS
- · Knowledge of data regulations (GDPR, DSPT)
