About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Dual Trade Plumber/Joiner to join our growing team. Working primarily within occupied and void social housing properties, you will carry out a wide range of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and kitchen and bathroom installations to a high standard.
This is a customer-facing role, so you'll need excellent workmanship, a professional attitude, and the ability to work independently while delivering outstanding service to tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plumbing and joinery repairs within occupied and void social housing properties.
- Complete reactive and planned maintenance works in line with company and client standards.
- Install, repair, and maintain kitchens and bathrooms, including associated plumbing and joinery works.
- Fit kitchen units, worktops, doors, skirting boards, architraves, and other joinery items.
- Carry out plumbing works including pipework, sanitary ware, taps, wastes, toilets, sinks, and baths.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on the first visit where possible.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high-quality finish.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area and treat tenants' homes with respect.
- Accurately complete job reports and relevant paperwork using handheld devices where required.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Joinery, or a recognised trade qualification.
- Proven experience in both plumbing and joinery works.
- Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance is highly desirable.
- Experience fitting kitchens and bathrooms from start to finish.
- Ability to carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage your own workload.
- A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
Desirable
- CSCS Card.
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
- Manual Handling and Working at Height training.
- Experience using PDA or job management systems.
