EduLink is currently recruiting for a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Coventry.
This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire and engage young people who have faced barriers to mainstream education. Through creative expression, you will help students build confidence, improve emotional wellbeing, and develop valuable artistic and life skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical art lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Teach a range of artistic techniques and mediums, encouraging creativity and self-expression
- Support students with SEMH, SEND, and behavioural needs to access learning
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Differentiate lessons to meet varying abilities and learning styles
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress
- Promote confidence, resilience, and emotional development through creative activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and support staff to achieve positive outcomes
Requirements
- Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or delivering creative workshops
- A qualification in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related subject is desirable
- QTS/QTLS is desirable but not essential
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is advantageous
- Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A creative, patient, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
