Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the LS10 area of Leeds from September 2026. This full-time role offers an ongoing opportunity, with a competitive daily rate of £95–£105, depending on experience. The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes throughout the school day.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND needs.
- Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
- Implement targeted intervention strategies and support plans.
- Work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external professionals where required.
Requirements
- Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting.
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to learning and behaviour support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Confidence supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
