Experienced Brewer – Frome Brewing Company
Frome Brewing Company is an independent brewery producing award-winning cask ale, keg beer, canned beer and mini kegs for customers throughout the UK.
We are looking to recruit an experienced brewer to join our production team. This is a practical, hands-on role covering all aspects of beer production from raw materials through to finished packaged beer.
The successful candidate will have previous commercial brewing experience and be comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team. Training will be provided on our specific brewing plant, cellar operations and packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Brewhouse operation and wort production
- Fermentation management and yeast handling
- Dry hopping, beer transfers and cellar operations
- Cask, keg, can and mini-keg packaging
- Cleaning and CIP procedures
- Quality control and production record keeping
- Raw material and stock management
- General brewery maintenance and process improvement
- Assisting with deliveries when required
- Supporting the wider brewery operation as business needs dictate
The Ideal Candidate
- Commercial brewing experience essential
- Practical, physically fit and highly motivated
- Good understanding of brewing and fermentation processes
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good understanding of HACCP and brewery hygiene requirements
- Mechanically minded and comfortable troubleshooting equipment
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Flexible and willing to assist across different areas of the business when required
- Full UK driving licence essential

Important
Commercial brewing experience is essential. Training will be provided on our brewery-specific equipment and procedures, but applicants must already have practical experience working in a commercial brewery environment.
This role would suit a practical brewer who enjoys taking ownership of beer production within a small independent brewery.
