Your Role
Recycle for Greater Manchester, GMCA’s public-facing Waste and Resources brand, are looking for a Digital Communications Manager. You’ll lead a small team working across a variety of business-critical digital infrastructure including a busy website, a wide range of social media channels and variety of other digital services.
This role is about combining creative content production with strong technical ability. We want someone who knows the best time to post on TikTok, can produce an analytics report about website retention and knows the trends that will increase engagement before they happen.
You'll manage content production across multiple platforms on a wide variety of waste and recycling topics and work with colleagues across the Waste and Resources team to reflect their work in video, graphic and written formats.
You’ll also be able to provide strategic guidance on how we stay at the forefront of digital and how we use digital solutions to evolve our services and make recycling and other waste behaviours as seamless as possible for residents across Greater Manchester.

We're looking for a talented, creative communications professional. We want someone who understands how people consume information digitally and can help shape our services accordingly.
Heading up the Recycle for Greater Manager digital team, you’ll be a confident, dynamic manager. Leading by example, you’ll be someone that can produce excellent digital content as well as developing the skills of your team.
You’ll be working with a wide variety of colleagues, and you’ll be experienced at managing relationships with partners. Being able to communicate complex information in a clear manner is key to the success of this role.
You’ll be proactive and organised, ensuring our website and social media channels are maintained and delivering fresh content daily. You’ll also be shaping and implementing a digital strategy that ensures our work is flexible and futureproof.

This role sits within the Recycle for Greater Manchester team, GMCA’s public-facing Waste and Resources brand. We are the largest waste disposal authority in the country responsible for the reuse, recycling and management of municipal waste from Greater Manchester households. We work to ensure Greater Manchester wastes less, recycles more and recycles right.
