Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to residents and clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support individuals with their daily routines while respecting their preferences and independence
- Assist with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans
- Maintain clear communication with residents, clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent, compassionate care
- Support transportation needs by driving clients to appointments or activities safely and responsibly
- Document all care activities accurately using IT systems and follow established procedures for record keeping
- Contribute to creating a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns promptly
Requirements
- Valid driving license with reliable access to a vehicle is highly desirable for supporting home care duties
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English to ensure effective interactions
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans electronically
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with residents, clients, families, and colleagues
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed
