Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join our team covering the Northampton area. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent earning potential, a company van, and fuel card. The role involves working independently, providing high-quality roadside and on-site maintenance and repair services for heavy goods vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs at customer sites or roadside
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and resolve issues efficiently
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Complete all work to a high standard, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Accurately complete job sheets and documentation
- Provide professional customer service when dealing with clients
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence beneficial but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
