Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Structural Technician with experience in using REVIT to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and realisation of structural projects across various sectors. Duties
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, and Revit
- Assist in the development of system designs for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to review design documents and provide technical support throughout project phases
- Utilise Mathcad for calculations related to structural analysis and system optimisation
- Support project management activities by tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with relevant teams
- Conduct site visits as required to verify construction accuracy and resolve technical issues on-site
- Contribute to the realisation of construction plans by producing precise technical drawings and specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CAD programmes including AutoCAD, Revit and general CAD drafting skills
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and system design processes
- Experience in project management within a construction or engineering environment is desirable
- Proficiency in Mathcad for performing complex calculations related to structural analysis
- Familiarity with construction practices and standards relevant to structural engineering projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents accurately
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field are preferred
