3.5T Van Driver – Manchester (Monday to Friday, Days)
Location: Manchester Transit Terminal, Claverton Road, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M23 9FT
Salary: £32,000–£33,000 per annum (TBC)
Schedule: Day shifts, Monday to Friday
We are looking for a reliable and experienced 3.5T Van Driver to join our team based in Manchester. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, day shift position, offering a stable work-life balance within a regulated aviation and logistics environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 3.5T van to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods securely and safely.
- Complete deliveries accurately and on time.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks before and after each shift.
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records.
- Communicate professionally with customers, operations, and colleagues.
- Comply with all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Clean driving record.
- Previous 3.5T van or multi-drop delivery driving experience preferred.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
CAA Aviation Security & Compliance Requirements
Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants must be be able to satisfy aviation security screening requirements, including:
- Providing a continuous 5-year address history.
- Providing a continuous 5-year reference history (employment, education, benefits, or character references).
- Passing a DBS/Criminal Record check.
