Senior Care Assistant
Location: Clarkston Care Home
Job Type: Full-time, 7 shifts across a 14 day period, 8.30pm - 8am
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the day-to-day running of the care team and ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality personal care while promoting residents' dignity, independence, and choice.
Administer medication safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Lead and support Care Assistants during each shift.
Develop, implement, and update person-centred care plans.
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Assist residents with mobility, nutrition, hydration, and daily living activities.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
Ensure safeguarding procedures and health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
Support new staff through mentoring and induction where required.
Promote a positive, respectful, and caring environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant.
Medication administration experience.
Good communication and leadership skills.
A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
SVQ Level 3 required
