Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Catering Team Lead to oversee daily operation for catering services in a 500 personnel corporate office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead from launch day - managing fast-paced service hours, seamless high-volume catering delivery, and acting as a main point of contact for internal catering enquires. You will manage and support the kitchen and front-of-house team, uphold strict health and safety compliance, and deliver exceptional service.
Duties
- Direct operation and supervise to ensure smooth flow during high-volume canteen service hours.
- Act as the primary point of contact for catering enquiries, managing booking, orders, and special dietary requests from initiation to delivery.
- Coordinate setup and teardown for canteen counters, catering function barista pod and drinks stations.
- Manage team rotas, delegate duties effectively, and keep the team motivated.
- Maintain strict food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations across all area.
- Assist food preparation, service, beverage preparation whenever hands on support is needed on the floor.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and track inventory to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Mentor and train team members to build a productive, customer-focused working environment.
What We Are Seeking
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a fast-paced corporate catering, or canteen eviroment.
- Strong organization skills to manage high-volume daily service hours while handling event enquiries simultaneously
- Valid food safety certification to level 3 or above and understanding of HACCP standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead, rota, and motivate a dedicated team.
