Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Event & Bar Staff to join our team at The Landmark Burnley, a historic and versatile venue in the heart of Burnley. By day, The Landmark is a thriving business hub offering co‑working space, meeting rooms, private offices, and more. By night and weekends, it becomes one of the region’s go‑to event venues - hosting conferences, weddings, parties, live music, private celebrations and corporate events.
This role involves providing excellent guest services, ensuring the smooth operation of events, and helping create memorable experiences.
Duties
- Welcome guests and ensure a friendly, professional experience
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including setting up tables, chairs, and equipment, ensuring all areas are tidy and organised
- Bartending - including barista and cocktail making
- Maintain stock levels and restock bar supplies as needed
- Support event management team with coordination tasks during events
- Monitor event areas, including bars, to maintain safety standards and uphold cleanliness
Requirements
- Previous experience in management, hospitality, or guest services is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or specialised event times as needed
- A positive attitude and professional appearance
- Ability to work well within a team environment
Please note: Due to the nature of the role, which includes the sale and service of alcohol at many events, applicants must be aged 18 or over and be willing and able to carry out these duties.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
