Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Removal Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and furniture efficiently and safely to various locations. Duties
- Safely operate company vans or lorries to transport goods, furniture, and equipment to designated locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries or collections.
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding schedules and delivery details.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after journeys to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and mileage.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or removal van driver, with a clean driving record.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with appropriate categories for commercial driving.
- Experience in commercial driving environments, including warehouse or logistics settings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling goods or furniture.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Organised approach to planning routes and managing schedules.
- Good physical fitness to handle the physical demands of the role, including long periods of standing or walking during loading/unloading processes.
