Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Location: Tring, HP23
Salary: £47,000 – £60,000 per annum + up to £5,000 bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
We are recruiting for an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to take responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of a children's residential home in Tring.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective running of the home, ensuring the service operates in line with its Statement of Purpose, Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
You will lead and develop a dedicated team while maintaining strong safeguarding, compliance and care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home
- Ensure the home consistently meets Ofsted and regulatory requirements
- Lead, motivate and develop the residential care team
- Deliver the home's Statement of Purpose and service development plan
- Maintain excellent safeguarding standards and ensure children are protected from harm
- Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and staff development
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments, records and documentation are maintained to a high standard
- Build effective relationships with placing authorities, social workers, families and other professionals
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- Ensure the home remains safe, nurturing and suitable for the children living there
- Monitor quality and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain inspection readiness and support the home through Ofsted inspections
- Participate in the management on-call rota
About You
We are looking for a strong and experienced children's residential leader with the confidence to take full responsibility for a home.
You will ideally have:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare / Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services
- At least 3 years' experience in a senior position within children's residential or social care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, safeguarding and the Children Act
- Proven experience leading and developing staff teams
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Experience with service delivery, budgets and compliance
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people
- Experience leading a home through an Ofsted inspection with positive outcomes would be advantageous
