Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using an Aggregate tipping lorry. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional service while adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate a lorry to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all deliveries are made safely and efficiently, maintaining the integrity of the materia.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring compliance with company policies related to safety and conduct.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- A valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) is essential for this position.
- Experience is highly desirable, though training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
