Self-Employed Electrician – Social Housing EICR & Remedials

We are currently looking for experienced Self-Employed Electricians to join an established social housing maintenance contract covering various locations across London.
You will be patched to a specific area, meaning you will not be expected to travel excessively across London. Your daily travel should generally be no more than 60 minutes from your patch.
The work will primarily involve carrying out EICRs and C1/C2 remedial works within occupied social housing properties.
The Role
- Carry out EICRs across occupied social housing properties.
- Complete C1, C2 and other remedial electrical works identified during inspections.
- Diagnose electrical faults and complete necessary repairs.
- Carry out testing and inspection in line with current regulations.
- Complete remedial works to a high standard and within required timescales.
- Work professionally and respectfully within residents' homes.
- Accurately complete certificates, reports and job paperwork.
- Use your own testing equipment and tools.
- Work to client specifications, health & safety requirements and relevant electrical regulations.
- Manage your own workload efficiently to maximise earning potential.
- Cover a dedicated London patch, with no more than approximately 60 minutes' travel expected.

Requirements – MUST HAVE
- Proven experience working as an electrician within social housing / local authority maintenance.
- Strong experience completing EICRs.
- Experience completing C1 and C2 remedial works.
- Own van.
- Own tools.
- Own calibrated electrical tester.
- Appropriate public liability / professional insurances.
- Relevant electrical qualifications and testing & inspection certification.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
