Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Banking Process Analyst to join our Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) team in Glasgow on a 1 year fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in financial operations, banking, or finance administration.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure company and client payments are processed accurately and on time, support bank account reconciliations, investigate and resolve queries, and contribute to maintaining strong financial controls. The role offers exposure to a variety of banking and finance processes within a highly regulated environment.
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience working with company banking activities, finance processes, accounts administration, payment operations, or similar financial environments. Insurance experience is not essential; we are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
This role is based in our Glasgow office and offers hybrid working. The expectation is two days one week and three days the following. This role is reguarly based in Glasgow and we will require you to be in a commutable disctance.
How you'll make an impact

Review, verify and release outgoing payments through a range of banking platforms.

Support the processing of payments to clients, insurers, suppliers and business partners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Monitor and report on daily bank charges and arrange transfers where required.

Process journals and financial transactions in line with monthly deadlines.

Reconcile company and acquisition bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Investigate outstanding banking and reconciliation queries, ensuring they are resolved promptly and accurately.

Work closely with offshore and wider finance teams to manage reconciliation activities and queries.

Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate information and documentation.

Build effective working relationships with colleagues across Finance, Treasury and Operations teams.

Respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.

Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
About You
-
Previous experience in banking, finance administration, accounts, treasury, payment processing, reconciliations, or a similar financial operations environment.

Experience handling company bank accounts, processing payments, or performing financial reconciliations would be advantageous.

Fantastic attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Amazing communication and relationship-building skills.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Ability to analyse information, identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

Educated to GCSEs (or equivalent)level including Maths and English
