Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation’s quality assurance processes, working within a UKAS accredited laboratory. The role would suit someone looking for flexible part time working hours, The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Maintain quality management systems in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards.
- Analyse quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality concerns promptly and effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes impacting quality standards.
- Take the lead role in external audits, and customer visits.
Qualifications
- Experience in a Quality Engineer or Management roles
- Experience within the metals industry, some knowledge of metallurgy and testing requirements
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in Quality Management or related fields are preferred. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional committed to upholding the highest standards of quality while driving organisational excellence through innovative solutions and leadership.
