Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Timber Yard Person to join team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the safe and efficient handling of timber and related materials within the yard and working in the machine shop. Your focus will be on maintaining organized storage, unloading, and ensuring all operations adhere to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely, unload, and move timber and other building materials.
- Organize and maintain the timber yard to ensure materials are stored correctly and easily accessible.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts following safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools, machinery, and storage areas to identify maintenance needs or hazards.
- Support team members in cutting, timber products when required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of materials received, stored, and dispatched.
Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management and material handling.
- Experience with timber machinery, such as panel saws, cross cuts, bandsaws.
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
