Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team who can keep pace with a fast-moving fulfilment environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic logistics environment, supporting efficient shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities
- Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch, working to daily KPIs
- Handling materials safely and efficiently across the warehouse
- Operating warehouse machinery, including pallet trucks (full training provided)
- Managing stock using our WMS and keeping inventory accurate
- Loading and unloading lorries and containers
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Adapting quickly when order volumes or priorities change
- Organising stock storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks to maintain accurate inventory records
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
- Following health & safety procedures (training provided to get you fully compliant)
Skills
- At least 1 year's experience working in a warehouse
- Proven experience in materials handling and warehouse operations
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures
- Experience in picking & packing orders efficiently and accurately
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks regularly
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment is a plus
- Attention to detail for quality control checks and stock accuracy
- Organised with good time management skills to meet deadlines
- Sharp attention to detail; accuracy matters as much as speed
- Able to stay calm and focused under pressure
- Quick to pick up new processes and systems
- Reliable timekeeping and consistent attendance
- Comfortable working towards KPIs and targets
