Job Summary
We are seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technioan is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and attractive operation of the club's facilities and grounds. This role involves carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and supporting the overall presentation of the tennis and squash club to provide a high-quality experience for members, guests, and staff.
Role Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of the tennis, Squash club’s facilities and grounds, including courts, lighting, equipment, and general infrastructure. This role ensures that the club provides a safe, clean, and functional environment for members, guests, and staff
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility Management
· Perform routine inspections of club buildings, courts, changing rooms, and common areas.
· Carry out general repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and decorating tasks within competence.
· Maintain heating, ventilation, lighting, and other building systems.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Court & Grounds Maintenance
· Assist with the upkeep of tennis courts, squash courts, Padel and Pickleball courts including cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
· Maintain landscaping, gardens, pathways, fencing, and outdoor areas.
· Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
· Monitor court conditions and report any issues affecting playability or safety.
Health & Safety
· Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
· Conduct regular safety checks and identify potential hazards.
· Maintain maintenance records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
· Support fire safety procedures and emergency preparedness activities.
Equipment Maintenance
· Maintain and repair club equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.
· Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and recommend reordering when required.
General Duties
· Support club events by assisting with facility setup and takedown.
· Ensure the club premises remain clean, tidy, and welcoming.
· Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by management.
Skills & Experience
· Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role.
· Practical skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs.
· Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and implement effective solutions.
· Experience operating maintenance and groundskeeping equipment.
· Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
· Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
· Strong communication and customer service skills
Working Conditions
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Regular lifting, carrying, and use of maintenance equipment.
- May require occasional weekend, evening, or emergency call-out work.
Required Certifications: Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain the following:
