The role offers the chance to work with market-leading clients on the cutting edge of the emerging conservation investment market in the UK and internationally, and to become a recognised expert in the field.
The Analyst will support Associates and Directors on a portfolio of projects, which may include:
- Supporting the development of natural capital investment projects, including research, market assessment, financial modelling, and the preparation of business plans and investor materials
- Contributing to the execution of financing transactions and impact measurement
- Managing project administration: agendas, notes, trackers and client follow-ups
- Conducting industry research on environmental markets (carbon, biodiversity, natural capital) and sharing insights with the team
- Supporting business development activity, including research into new opportunities and assistance with proposals
- Supporting client communications
- Participating in internal initiatives, events and publications
As you progress to Senior Analyst, you take on greater responsibilities. In addition to the above:
- Leading project management activities more independently, taking defined ownership of workstreams, and coordinating without close supervision
- Building structured cashflow models independently and contributing to scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Mentoring and guiding interns and junior Analysts, sharing knowledge and reviewing their work
- Supporting recruitment, handling NDAs and engagement letters, and leading on business development activity with greater confidence
- Developing expertise in specific areas of environmental finance and building an external network
You will typically have up to three years’ relevant work experience, though we welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their careers. A background in corporate finance, investment banking, accountancy, venture capital, private equity, management consultancy, or the environmental sector is desirable.
A genuine interest in the environmental and conservation finance sector is essential. You should be able to articulate why this sector matters to you and how your skills are relevant, even if you have not worked directly in it.
Specific skills, competencies and experience that we are looking for include:
- Financial literacy and analytical ability: comfortable with financial concepts; modelling experience is an advantage
- Strong research and writing skills: able to assimilate complex information and produce clear, structured outputs
- Organised and reliable project administration
- Confidence presenting to peers and senior colleagues
- Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Enthusiastic self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility for delivering high-quality work
- Collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes positively to team culture
- Inquisitive and analytical, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving

We do not expect candidates to possess all these skills and competencies; importantly, what we are looking for is someone who can creatively show how their skills and experience could be adapted to fit this profile, if/where there are gaps.

- Base salary of £34,500 – £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience and skills)
- A discretionary bonus of up to 10% of salary, plus a Christmas bonus (up to £1,000)
