Duties
- Operating and maintaining a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Performing welding tasks with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Assisting with carpentry, masonry, roofing, and other construction activities
- Conducting heavy lifting and manoeuvring materials safely on-site
- Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment or structures
- Supporting commercial driving duties when required, including transporting materials or equipment
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, roofing or related trades is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical systems
- Previous experience in heavy lifting tasks within construction or maintenance environments
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights or around heavy machinery
- Experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not essential; valid driving licence required for relevant duties
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
