Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling to optimise clinic flow
- Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, addressing patient enquiries effectively
- Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and files in compliance with data protection regulations
- Process payments and insurance claims accurately using practice management software
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and correspondence
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Keep the reception area tidy and organised to present a professional appearance
Experience
- Previous office experience is highly desirable, particularly within a healthcare or dental setting
- Administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail is essential
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly demeanour
- Proficiency in using computer software programmes such as Microsoft Office and dental practice management systems (Dentally)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining professionalism
