Assistant Manager – Spanish Restaurants & Bars
Location: Sidcup & Bexley
Position: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
We’re looking for three enthusiastic, hands-on Assistant Managers to join our growing family-run Spanish restaurant and bar group across three sites in Sidcup and Bexley.
We currently have two established venues, with an exciting new site opening in late autumn. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business and be involved in the opening and development of a brand-new venue.
The Role
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll help with the day-to-day running of our restaurants and bars, working across our three sites alongside our managers and owners.
A strong knowledge of bartending and drinks service is important for this role. You should be confident behind the bar, understand the basics of cocktails and spirits, and be comfortable overseeing both the restaurant and bar operation.
You’ll also have the opportunity to play a key role in opening our new site, helping prepare the venue, train the team and get everything ready for opening.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of our restaurants and bars
- Working across our three sites in Sidcup and Bexley
- Opening and closing venues
- Working confidently behind the bar when required
- Having a good knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer and general drinks service
- Supervising, supporting and motivating staff
- Helping with rotas and daily team organisation
- Maintaining high standards of customer service
- Training and supporting new and existing team members
- Helping maintain food, drink and service standards
- Dealing confidently with customer queries and resolving issues
- Supporting stock control, deliveries and general venue organisation
- Working closely with the owners and management team
- Taking responsibility for a site when required
- Helping with the setup, recruitment, training and launch of our new venue
- Leading by example and being happy to get stuck in wherever needed
About You
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, confident, reliable and genuinely enjoys hospitality.
You should have:
- Good practical bartending knowledge and experience
- Confidence working behind a busy bar
- A good understanding of spirits, cocktails, wine and beer
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar or hospitality environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The confidence to supervise and lead a small team
- A positive, hands-on attitude
- The ability to stay calm and organised during busy services
- Flexibility to work across different venues
- A willingness to learn and develop with the business
Previous Assistant Manager or supervisory experience is preferred, but we’re open to candidates who have strong hospitality and bar experience and are ready to take the next step.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 48.0 per week
