Our client, a well-established manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Production Team Leader to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced production professional with a background in injection moulding and rubber manufacturing machinery to lead a production team and ensure manufacturing operations run efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and confident leading a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a production team to ensure manufacturing targets, quality standards, and deadlines are achieved.
- Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring machinery, materials, and personnel are effectively utilised.
- Operate, monitor, and oversee injection moulding and rubber processing machinery.
- Ensure production processes are followed correctly and products are manufactured to the required specifications.
- Monitor production output, quality, waste, and efficiency, taking action where required to address issues.
- Carry out and support machinery changeovers, set-ups, and adjustments where required.
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly to minimise downtime and disruption.
- Ensure all production areas are maintained to high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, and cleanliness.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to production operatives, helping to develop skills and maintain high performance standards.
- Allocate work effectively across the team and monitor individual and team performance.
- Complete production records, documentation, and relevant quality checks accurately.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and management teams to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
- Promote continuous improvement across production processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Ensure company procedures, work instructions, and health and safety requirements are consistently followed.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working with injection moulding machinery is essential.
- Experience working with rubber processing or rubber manufacturing machinery is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, Senior Operator, or similar production leadership position.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production targets, and quality standards.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to organise workloads and prioritise effectively within a fast-paced production environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Willingness to work hands-on alongside the production team when required.
