About Us
TCIC is a fast-growing home improvement business specialising in conservatory transformations, insulated ceilings, lightweight tiled roofing systems, windows, doors, garden rooms, SIP extensions and complete home enhancement projects.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to support installations, remedial works and project completion activities across our product range.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role requiring a practical and customer-focused individual capable of carrying out multiple trades to a high standard.
The successful candidate will support installation teams and independently undertake finishing, adaptation and remedial works to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely and to an exceptional quality standard.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical
- Carry out minor electrical works associated with home improvement projects.
- Install lighting, sockets, fused spurs, extractor fans and ancillary electrical components.
- Disconnect and reconnect services where appropriate.
- Liaise with approved electricians for notifiable works where required.
Plumbing
- Carry out first and second fix plumbing works.
- Alter heating pipework associated with conservatory upgrades and extensions.
- Install radiators, valves and drainage connections.
- Complete minor plumbing modifications to facilitate installations.
Plastering & Finishing
- Patch plaster and make good disturbed finishes.
- Skim walls and ceilings.
- Complete plasterboard repairs.
- Undertake decorating preparation works where necessary.
Joinery & Installation
- Assist with installation of:
- Conservatory roof insulation systems
- Lightweight tiled roofing systems
- Internal insulated ceilings
- Windows and doors
- Garden rooms
- SIP extensions
- Timber structures
- EPDM roofing systems
- Internal finishing elements
General Duties
- Undertake snagging and remedial visits.
- Ensure projects are completed to company quality standards.
- Maintain excellent customer communication on site.
- Support apprentices and installation teams.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Complete basic site documentation and photographic records.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled trade role.
- Competence in at least two of the following:
- Electrical works
- Plumbing
- Plastering
- Joinery
- Experience working within domestic refurbishment or home improvements.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- 18th Edition qualification.
- Plumbing certification.
- Plastering qualification.
- Experience with conservatories, lightweight roof systems or SIP construction.
- PASMA, IPAF or Working at Height certification.
- CSCS Card.
